They can play to just about any audience (Heck, Rose can even sing in Italian!)
If you don’t dance to CHI CHI – you won’t dance to NO-ONE!
They’ll play any requests they can!
They NEVER do exactly the same show twice!
And they try to NEVER leave dancers waiting on the dance floor.

For over 20 years Russell Sprout has been involved in the entertainment industry in one form or another.
Whether it be as a singer / drummer / guitarist / actor / writer / compere / trivia host or stand-up comedian, Russell has “been there and done that”.
During the 80’s he was best known for his work as a drummer with several of Melbourne’s top bands. After recording an album with Brent Parlane & 33 South, he went on to play in a number of cover bands including Rock Steady, The Lee Walker Band, Turkeys, Gimix and Thunderbirds Are Go. With these bands he
toured the country and supported such acts as Mondoock, Split Enz, John Farnham, Mental As Anything and Dragon.
The early 90’s saw him making a name for himself as a stand-up comedian, sharing the bill with the likes of Jimeoin, Richard Stubbs, Eric Bana, Russell Gilbert, Sean McAuliff, Merrick and Martin & Molloy. He also made regular appearances performing his comedy songs on Melbourne radio stations 3PBS FM and North-West FM. Since relocating to Queensland in 1995, he has established himself as a “One Man Band”. He has utilized his experience and varied talents to create an energetic, versatile act in which he showcases a wide variety of songs from the fifties through to current Top 40. A rich blend of vocals and acoustic/electric guitar accompaniment are enhanced by state of the art technology to create the full sound of a complete band (without the excessive volume).
Russell can adapt his performances to suit any occasion. With material ranging from ballads to up tempo rock & roll, there is something for everyone.
And with a repertoire of around 200 songs, no two shows are the same. He can easily handle material from such varied acts as The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, The Drifters, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Dire Straits, Crowded House, Bruce Springsteen, Paul Kelly, Santana and Robbie Williams. And his selection of Neil Diamond songs always goes down well.
