About the Club

Since 1926, City Golf Club Toowoomba has been part of the local story.

From humble beginnings

The club has grown through decades of change, remaining a constant presence through depressions, wars, floods, and droughts. As a not for profit organisation, all profits are reinvested into the community, supporting local charities, services, and initiatives where they are needed most. In one year alone, 76 organisations were supported, helping ensure vital services remained accessible across the region.

Golf continues to shape the club’s identity.

By supporting 16 courses across the region and fostering emerging talent, the club helps create opportunities for more people to experience the game. Its championship course has welcomed some of Australia’s most recognised players, while the Old PGA Championship, hosted since 2009, continues to bring visitors and growth to Toowoomba.

Recognition has followed

With awards including Best Sports Club QLD (Large), Best Sports Club Darling Downs and South West QLD, and Best Entertainment Venue QLD.

The experience extends beyond the clubhouse

With the addition of the City Golf Club Motel, overlooking the course, it offers 4.5 star accommodation designed for both leisure and corporate guests, with Stay and Play packages and easy access to everything the club has to offer.

Today, the club remains a place where people come together.

Whether it’s for a meal, a function, or time on the course, every visit contributes to something larger, supporting the community and continuing a legacy built over generations.
